THE DIFFERENT LOOKS OF ROADHOUSE
Currently the site has only had one look, which is the one that is featured right now. It was put online on opening day, may 15, 2008. It features characters from all shows that is featured on the site; Drive, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Tru Calling and Veronica Mars. The layout is inspired by the actually Roadhouse on "Supernatural". The little poster on the wall is of Amy Acker as the wife of Nathan Fillion's character on "Drive".
The background contains a total of 5 different images to make it into an official Roadhouse. Countless amount of textures and different filters has been applied to grunge down the image. All actor pics has been carefully inserted as to match how "big" they would actually look considering placement in depth. The car has has it's windows cut out and replaced to get ridd of other backgrounds.
Fun facts: The house itself is actually an old train-waggon. It was converted into a house and got a sign on it to live up to the old and worndown look a Roadhouse is supposed to have. The picture of the Impala wasn't the same as when the work began. Another picture of it from the side was used up until a few hours before the header was finished when it was replaced with the current one. "Back in Black" in the menu is a stolen phrase from AC/DC.
The inofficial date of layout completion is February 20, 2008.
